How Many Words do You Need to Tell a Story?

They say great writers know how to get the maximum story across to their readers with the minimum amount of words. Something that is indeed as difficult to do as it sounds.

But, how would you like to have to tell a story using just six words?

Well, Ernest Hemingway was once prodded (some say he did it for a bet) to compose a complete story in six words. His answer, personally felt to be his best prose ever, was:

"For sale: baby shoes, never used."

Now THAT'S writing.
